1. LOCATE DOMAIN AND TO BE UPDATED
Utilizing your Domains page in the User Control Portal, you will be able to find every domain that is not up to date.
2. LOG INTO REGISTRAR
Once you’ve identified the domains that need to be updated you’ll need to log into your DNS Provider, or Domain Registrar’s Dashboard. You can also use the site https://www.whois.net/ to find the Nameserver or Nameserver information, which paired with your preferred search engine should assist you in logging into the correct dashboard. You can also search your email, as most DNS Providers will send a confirmation email after you’ve configured your domain with them.
If you’re having issues logging into the dashboard you should either contact their Support team or utilize their reset password / username links.
3. NAVIGATE TO THE DOMAIN DNS SETTINGS
Since not all Registrars are the same – this next step will require a bit of trial and error. After you’ve logged into your Registrar, look for a section that allows you to MANAGE DNS of your domain. You’ll know you’ve found the right place when you see your domain(s) listed out.
4. UPDATE DOMAIN DNS SETTINGS VALUE
Use following DNS Settings in order to point your Domain Name to ForceWP:
ns1.forcewp.com
ns2.forcewp.com
ns3.forcewp.com
5. SAVE AND WAIT
After you’ve updated the Record Value you will click Save or Update. The DNS may take several hours to days to fully propagate throughout the internet.
6. REPEAT AS NEEDED
If there’s more than one domain requiring action you will want to repeat steps 1 – 5 until all domains have been updated. By not doing so, you risk your sites going down or suffering a performance bottleneck.
Otherwise you could visit https://www.forcewp.com/request-dns-update/ and request DNS update from our hosting team
